A Day in Our Life

Have you ever heard of the DITL Project? DITL stands for "Day In The Life" -- basically, you just take pictures documenting a random day in your life. People always ask me what I DO all day staying at home with twins, so I thought it would be fun to do one. I was afraid I wouldn't have much to photograph but ended up taking over 100 pictures!

So, in an effort to blog more and avoid the fact celebrate that my babies' birthday is so soon, I thought I'd post our DITL here. (But don't worry, I'll break it up a little so that you don't have to see all 100 pictures at once!)

Without further ado... here is Part One!

Good morning! Chris wakes me up when he leaves for work.

He puts the babies in bed with me before he goes, where Grayson snuggles and Audrey practices crawling.

There's more after the jump!

Open the blinds, yucky day :(

Change diapers. Good morning babies!

Morning pump, breakfast #1, a little morning TV

Set up baby area

Add babies!

Morning nursing

Physical therapy exercises. Neither baby is a fan.

Put them in their Bumbos...

And turn on some Elmo's World...

While I fix breakfast.

Nom. Not pictured: me shoveling food fast enough that they don't lose interest. That's hard to get a picture of :)

Yum yum yum

Cleaned up Grayson

Cleaned up Audrey

Sleepy nursing

Which ends in our morning nap. Boom!

To be continued...

  1. I give you SO much credit for nursing not one, but two, babies!!

    1. Aw, well thank you! I've been lucky that it's worked so well for us.

  2. Yay, now I can comment! They are SO sweet, I can't even stand it!

  3. Love the napping picture! And Elmo's World is a favorite in our home too.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! We appreciate your kind words!
